This Friday, Ramos could make his PSG debut
Sergio Ramos is expected to be included in PSG’s squad for Friday’s match against Angers at Parc des Princes, according to French publication Le Parisien.
Mauricio Pochettino will be without any of his South American internationals for PSG’s match against Angers on Friday, as those players will be participating for their respective countries in the final round of CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying matches just hours before.
Poch will have a limited pool of players to choose from because the South American players (including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Marquinhos, Mauro Icardi, and Angél Di Mara) are not expected to return to Paris until Friday at the earliest. However, Sergio Ramos, who joined PSG from Real Madrid in the summer, might make his first appearance for the club.
Ramos’ injuries are causing him problems.
Due to a calf problem that has bothered him since July, Ramos is yet to play for his new team. While the 35-year-old center back was scheduled to return to play following the international break in September, his inability to fully heal from calf problems has extended his layoff. According to rumors in France, the former Real Madrid captain could be named in Pochettino’s squad for the first time following the recent international break.
