Mbappé has requested to leave PSG

Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappé wants to leave PSG and has no desire to stay.

While Kylian Mbappé has declined to discuss his future while on duty with France at Euro 2020, the topic continues to dominate French media pages and air time.

Mbappé has yet to agree to a new deal with PSG that would extend his current contract beyond 2022, while Real Madrid is hoping to sign the French star this summer or next summer, at the earliest, before he becomes a free agent.

According to rumours in France, Kylian Mbappe has asked to quit PSG after losing faith in the project in Paris.

Last season, the 22-year-old scored 42 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions, but PSG lost the league crown to Lille and was knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals by Manchester City.

As he prepares to approach the final year of his contract in Paris, RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo has stated that the France international wants out.

Finding a team that can finance a deal is likely to be difficult, but Riolo insists that Mbappe has lost faith in sporting director Leonardo’s plans and will leave on a free transfer next summer.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumours about Mbappe’s possible departure, but if the youngster’s desire to go is immediate, it will undoubtedly attract Real Madrid’s attention.

The Spanish giants are known admirers of the striker – who isn’t? – and we can’t help but wonder whether this revelation has anything to do with PSG’s rumoured interest in Real defender Raphael Varane.

Mbappe’s France teammate is also approaching the end of his contract, with rumours claiming that both PSG and Manchester United have inquired about his availability.

Despite the news of Mbappe’s willingness to go, Riolo stated that PSG’s owners do not want to hear about him being sold.
