How Barcelona can look next season
Messi and co have failed their objective in the Champions League and are very close finish only the 3rd in La Liga this season.
Ronald Koeman failed to have a long journey in Champions League this season as Barcelona have been knocked out by PSG in the round of 16, with Kylian Mbappe‘s hattrick on Camp Nou and aggregate score 2-5.
In La Liga things are not much better, Barcelona’s fans are very disappointed after the draws against Atletico Madrid and Levante as they see the chances of saving the season are very low with only two games left to play and four points behind the leader Atletico Madrid.
The Messi saga surely didn’t help the morale of the team this season as it still not certain if he will extend his contract or leave this summer.
The club is planning to make some changes this summer and there are a lot of rumours surrounding the arrivals and departures.
Luis Suarez joined Atletico Madrid last summer and has left a whole in the attacking department and the board have failed to bring a decent replacement, The gap between Messi with 29 goals this season and the second best scorer with Griezmann with only 12 goals.
Barcelona has also the worst defence from top four with an average of one goal received per game after 36 games, while Atletico have only 23 and Real Madrid 27.
How Barcelona could look next season:
Barcelona is not in the best financial situation currently but they could make some great deals signing some free-agents this summer like Eric Garcia, Sergio Aguero, Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay.
In goal things do not seem that will change as Ter Stegen is doing a great job and is one of the world-class goalkeepers.
In defence there might be one change, with Eric Garcia from Man City very close to a comeback to his youth club.
Midfield can be orange 100% with De Jong and Wijnaldum who failed to extend his contract with Liverpool and rumours are that Koeman want’s him.
The arrival of Aguero can become also the main reason for Messi to extend his contract, it is well known that they have a good relationship, are teammates in the national squad and both look keen to play in the same club also.
Memphis Depay could be another player that has been rumoured since last year but failed to reach an agrement between clubs last summer and now can join for free.
